According to magnitude, direction & point of application forces may be classified as :

 1) Concurrent & Non - Concurrent 

2) Colinear & Non - Colinear 

3) Coplaner & Non - Coplaner 

Concurrent  &     Non - Concurrent forces :-  If all the forces acting on a body meet at a point or act through a point, they are called concurrent forces. 

If all the forces acting on a body do not meet at a point or act through a point, they are called non -concurrent forces 

Colinear &Non - Colinear :- If all the forces acting on a body have same line of action (not necessarity through the same point ) then they are called colinear forces. 

If the forces acting on a body have different line of action then they are called non - colinear forces. 

Coplaner & Non - Coplaner force:- If the lines of action of forces lie in the same plane then the forces are called Co - planer forces. 

If the lines of action of forces do not lie in the same plane then the forces are called  Non - coplaner forces .
